Traceability Strategies for Cacao Export

Abstract:

The work aims to "propose strategies to cocoa farmers for cocoa exports, applying Traceability"; based on the risks that may arise in food safety for consumers and had already caused major health problems in Europe and the US, with not only monetary costs also the lives of people. Traceability is an opportunity for producers, it allows additional benefits when properly performed, promoting international trade. Currently only 20% of producers in the world working on this system, all other traders do independently. The research applied a survey of 14 closed questions, using a convenience sample nonprobability, 60 farmers who export sales to companies in the city of Guayaquil.
