Transformer common test description for condition management

Abstract:

This paper presents a description of the common tests used in power transformers health index assessing. Power transformer condition evaluation is bases on humidity, acidity, dielectric strength, dissipation factor, dissolved gas analysis and degree of polymerization. Existing normative brings aceptable limits for each test, this boundaries depends on aplication and operational voltaje level. With this information, power transformer administrator is able to define better maintenance/ replace actions.
