Análisis técnico del uso de transformadores de respaldo para los transformadores de servicios auxiliares para las centrales de generación de la Corporación Eléctrica del Ecuador CELEC EP


Abstract:

This paper contains the study of a technical analysis of the use of backup transformers for the ancillary services transformersfor the power generation plants of the Electrical Corporation of Ecuador CELEC EP. This document presents the theoretical foundations necessary to carry out the same, based on their proceeds to make a collection of technical information of the ancillary services transformers that are currently operating in power plants. After gathering the information about the 103ancillary services transformers that are in the 23 generation plants in question are applicable to group them into a total of 24 groups or families of transformers with similar characteristics, both physical and electrical. From the information gathered from existing ancillary services transformers in power generation plants, an analysis of risk of failure of the ancillary services transformers based on the hours of operation of transformers from manufacturing was performed. This yields a probabilistic data about the reliability of operating ancillary transformers. With auxiliary service transformers grouped proceeds to find acharacteristic transformer, which meets all the physical and electrical characteristics for each group of ancillary services transformers, thereby choose the transformer would serve as a backup for each group. Based on the transformer that would provide backup for each group performing a cost-benefit analysis, which includes the cost of backup transformer compared to the time that the power plant would not operate until the backup transformer is get it. After obtaining the transformer would backup characteristic for each group prepares a data sheet, in which similar elements are contemplated that will support each backup transformer. Finally it makes recommendations to purchase or not the ancillary services transformers that serve as backup for each group of transformers.
