Two-dimensional map for impact oscillator with drift
Abstract:
The two-dimensional (2D) maps based on a finite domain for impact oscillators with drift, were described. A two-dimensional analytical map was developed and analyzed to study the bounded dynamics. The dynamic state of the system was fully described by four variables such as time, relative displacement and velocity of the mass, and relative displacement of the slider top. It was observed that the lower and upper bounds of the map domain were approximated. A graphical method of iteration of two-dimensional map was also described, which is similar to the cobweb method used in one-dimensional case.
