Técnicas de injertación aplicadas en viveros de cacao Theobroma cacao L. en el cantón Naranjal, Provincia del Guayas

Abstract:

The present titration work analyzes the grafting techniques applied in cocoa nurseries (Theobroma cacao L.) in the Naranjal canton, province of Guayas, in order to identify the different grafting techniques in cocoa nurseries in the Naranjal canton, province of Guayas, to develop an adequate methodology that contributes to the improvement of this agricultural activity. For this analysis, descriptive surveys answered by farmers of the site, in a non-probabilistic sampling by expert judgment, whose data collection technique is of primary type (direct source) were occupied. The data obtained was processed and interpreted with the calculation of index numbers (percentage) and pie charts. At the end of the work, it was obtained as results that the owners of the different premises need more technification in the management of the nurseries. Based on the results of the surveys, nursery owners indicated that the cost of production per plant in their nurseries ranges from 0.10 USD to 0.28 USD, while the values of sale per seedling vary from 0.30 USD to 0.35 USD. Adding each of the answers and dividend for 6, we obtain an average production cost of 0.163 USD per seedling, with an average selling cost of 0.333 USD. The average profit of this will be USD 0.17 per seedling, which indicates an average yield of 104.5%.
