USE OF KANBAN BOARDS AS SUPPORT FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF AGILE METHODOLOGIES

Abstract:

Kanban boards are used to show the progress in the construction of a computer system, not only to members of the development team but to all stakeholders in the project, which combined with the application of agile methodologies aim to achieve the success of the same. It was demonstrated that its use and adaptation were fast and intuitive and that it was possible to keep all the members of the development team organized and informed of the progress of the projects and to evaluate the quality of each scheduled delivery. A survey was applied to the students of the higher levels of the software career of Uniandes and an interview to the group leaders, obtaining relevant information to verify the effectiveness and ease of use of Kanban boards in the process of development of computer systems with agile methodologies, getting to verify that it was possible to comply with the planned work and in the stipulated time. The use of this tool together with the methodology are not enough to achieve success but must be applied all the knowledge acquired in the software career and acquire the expertise of execution with each new project developed.
