Underlay and overlay networks: The approach to solve addressing and segmentation problems in the new networking era: VXLAN encapsulation with Cisco and open source networks

Abstract:

This work was developed in order to analyze the structure and operation of Virtual Extensible LAN technology (VXLAN). A simulation/emulation in a virtualized environment will demonstrate the advantages about VXLAN; and based on the results, this investigation could be used as a proposal for the administration and provisioning of Service Providers and Data Center (DC) clients in the future.
