Abstract:

In this paper we study the formative profile and the vocation to create companies among the students of the Technical University of Ambato, located in Ecuador and that due to its characteristics could fit in the model of the Triple Helix and the Relational University and the University Entrepreneur The starting hypothesis is that the strategies of the Technical University of Ambato (UTA) to the entrepreneurial training influence the vocation to create companies of their students. To verify this, a multivariate statistical analysis was carried out, which in this case is simple correspondence; Hypothesis tests were also carried out among the variables necessary to contrast the starting hypotheses according to the application of several Chi Square statistical tests. The population that was studied is made up of 677 students from the Technical University of Ambato, in the semester October 2016-March 2017. For this, a field study was made by collecting and tabulating responses to a form designed for that purpose. The results show that only the elaboration of business plans, within all the strategies of the University, helps the entrepreneurial spirit and that it is necessary a readjustment of the rest of strategies to improve in the creation of entrepreneurship vocation.
