Use of Floripondium as a healing agent in dermal wounds
Abstract:
The objective of this research was to evaluate the efficiency of two concentrations of creams of Floripondium (Brugmansia arborea) at 10 and 20 % compared to a control group in reducing the healing time in dermal wounds of 300 millimeters caused in rabbits. Skin biopsies were taken on days (d) 7, 14 and 21 to measure structural changes in the skin, 27 histological plates were analyzed, where various structural changes such as inflammation, presence of fibroblasts and intracellular collagen deposition were evaluated as variables that indicate regeneration of the same. The Analysis of Variance (ADEVA) of the doses and d of healing express a highly significant relationship (P<0.01) between the study factors. Healing times vary between treatments with an R value of 0.97. Treatment at 10 % presents the results in a shorter period of time (15.40 d +/- 0.74) while at 20 % presents a longer time to treatment of 10 …
