Use of complexes of Re<inf>2</inf>(CO)<inf>10</inf> and Re<inf>2</inf>(CO)<inf>8</inf>(μ-dppm) supported on SiO<inf>2</inf> by anchoring with nitrogenous aminosilane ligands as catalysts in the HDS reaction

Abstract:

The complex Re2(CO)10 and Re2(CO)8(μ-dppm) (dppm = bis(diphenylphosphine) methane) were supported on SiO2 (Aerosil-200) and anchored by post-synthesis method using N-[3- (trimethoxysilyl)propyl] ethylene-diamine (TPEN) and passivating methyl triethoxysilane (TEMS) ligands. The material obtained was characterized by chemical analysis (ICP), elemental analysis (EA), infrared spectroscopy (IRFT), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), adsorption and desorption of nitrogen, X-ray diffraction (XRD), chemical analysis by electron microscopy scanning energy dispersive X-ray (SEM/EDX) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Complexes supported on Aerosil-200 showed catalytic activity in the hydrodesulfurization of thiophene and dibenzothiophene (DBT) predominating the path of the previous hydrogenation of the substrates under the established mild conditions of pressure and temperature.
