User Interfaces Promoting Appropriate HCI: Systematic Literature Review
Abstract:
One of the research challenges in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is to build interfaces with which users feel satisfied. As computing devices evolve, grow, and are integrated into our lives, proper interface design becomes an essential topic of discussion for HCI. Therefore, it is necessary to provide design standards to achieve good usability of applications from different devices. This article presents the analysis of the main characteristics considered to achieve an adequate HCI. An analytical methodology for Systematic Literature Review was used to describe approaches such as software frameworks, methodologies, functional requirements, standards, and best practices used when designing User Interfaces (UI) considering the HCI and based on user-centered design. For this purpose, 42 studies were selected from digital scientific repositories during the period 2015-2020. It was concluded that the UI should be adapted to the preferences and needs of the end-users, this is the key factor, without any restriction, considering various aspects and methods when creating this type of UI.
