Uso de las Tic, en niños/as de 5°, 6° y 7° de educación Básica, de la Unidad Educativa Rafael Aguilar Pesántez, Cuenca 2017


Abstract:

BACKGROUND: At present the society is characterized by a significant increase in the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), within the activities performed by the human being facilitating life both in education and work. In the student sector, the use of technology has become an indispensable tool, causing at the same time a series of distractions and dispersion of students. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: to determine the use of ICT in children of 5th, 6th and 7th years of basic education, Rafael Aguilar Pesántez Educational Unit, Cuenca, 2017. METHODOLOGY: The research was descriptive qualitative cross-sectional, which allowed to describe the use of ICT in children of 5, 6 and 7 years of basic education, of the Rafael Aguilar Pesantez Educational Unit in Cuenca, in which was worked with a population of 130 students. The research technique used was the application of a survey conducted by Elías Said Hung 2015 and validated through Cronbach's Alpha; for data analysis, we used frequency tables and percentages, which were processed using SPSS and Excel software. RESULTS: Of the 130 students surveyed, 43% were 10 years old; 55% are men and 45% are women; 41, 5% use audiovisual equipment; 26, 9% use the school room; 55.5% use the internet; 65.4% of students consider ICT to help them become better students; 89.2% agree that ICT contributes to learning. CONCLUSIONS: Students have an average use of smart phones, with the majority being used in classrooms, however, it is necessary to strengthen the adequate use of devices through pedagogical strategies that articulate their actions for the development of learning
