Uso de sulfato de magnesio en trastornos hipertensivos del embarazo en pacientes del área de gineco-obstetricia del Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso y José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca, enero de 2009-abril 2010
Abstract:
Objective: to evaluate the use of sulphate of magnesium, in the dysfunctions hipertensive disorders of pregnancy of the patients of the area of Gynecology - Obstetrics of the Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso and José Carrasco Arteaga, Cuenca, during the period understood from January from 2009 to April of 2010. Methodology: it was carried out a descriptive retrospective observational study in 234 clinical records of patient with this characteristic. Was used a questionnaire of 21 questions, the statistical analysis was carried out by through SPSS 15.00 version Evaluation Results: the study was carried out in 234 clinical histories of which 65% of patients had an ages among 20-35 years, 55% were of urban origin, 61,5% had basic instruction, 52,6% were married, 67,9% were housewife; 8,6% had HTA as personal pathological antecedent and 26,9% as family, 51,2% were multiparous, 57,3% nulliparous , 69,7% was carried out among 5-7 prenatal controls, 16% had antecedents of hypertensive disease in the previous pregnancy. The severe preeclampsy was the dysfunction of more frequency with 43,2%. The sulphate of magnesium was used as treatment in 65,4%, the Newborns APGAR so much in the 1y 5 minute were bigger at 7 with 84,2% and 94,6% respectively; 25,2% of newborns went to neonatology and your main complication was the breathing depression with 6,8% of the cases. Conclusions: The severe preeclampsy is the hypertensive dysfunction more frequent, in most the sulphate of magnesium is used as treatment. The factors that were related statistically were antecedent pathological personal, the number of controls in the pregnancy, the use of sulphate of magnesium as prevention or treatment, maternal collateral effects, complications in the newborn and condition of maternal exit. The eclampsy originated most of maternal deaths that correspond to 5,1% of all cases.
