Validación del índice neutrófilo-linfocito como pbkp_redictor de severidad en gestantes con trastornos hipertensivos, Hospital Vicente Corral Moscoso. Cuenca, 2020
Abstract:
Background: gestational hypertensive disorders (GHD) are one of the main causes of maternal-perinatal morbidity and mortality worldwide, one of the three leading causes of maternal death in South America and the first in Ecuador. Objective: to evaluate the validity of the neutrophil/lymphocyte index as a pbkp_redictor of severity in pregnant women with GHT in patients attended at the Gynecology and Obstetrics Service of the Vicente Corral Moscoso Regional Hospital during the year 2020. Methodological design: observational study of diagnostic test validation. There were 208 pregnant women with GHT who met the inclusion criteria. The neutrophil/lymphocyte index was contrasted with the clinical and laboratory diagnosis considered gold standard. Data collection was performed using a form developed by the author. Statistical analysis was performed with the SPSS v.26 program, determining the values of sensitivity (S), specificity (S) and positive pbkp_redictive value (PPV), negative and ROC curve of the neutrophil/lymphocyte index p-value (0.000). Results: the probability of having a severe picture was associated with INL ≥ 3.785 OR: 5.67; 95% CI 2.36 - 13.63; p-value (0.000). INL ≥ 3.785, as prognostic for severe THG approached a regular prognostic accuracy (AUC = 0.7 - 0.75) and was statistically significant (p = 0.000), with an S = 53.8%; E = 82.9%; PPV = 91.7%; NPV = 34.0%. Conclusions: INL ≥ 3.785 has a fair prognostic accuracy for THG severity. Keywords: Validation Study. Disease Severity Index. Pregnancy Induced Hypertension.
