Valoración y análisis del índice de Bishop para inducto-conducción


Abstract:

Induction and conduction procedures during labor will be performed with the goal of increasing the likelihood of having a vaginal delivery. The objective of the study will be to assess and analyze the use of the Bishop index prior to induction-conduction of labor in full-term pregnant women attended at the Matilde Hidalgo Hospital in Procel during the period September 2020-February 2021. observational, non-experimental, descriptive, quantitative cross-sectional modality; The sample consisted of 102 patients who met the inclusion criteria, an observation and assessment sheet was applied according to the Bishop index. Main results: Regarding characteristics of greater interest, age group 15 to 20 years in 34.3%, nulliparous in 69.6%. The main route of pregnancy culmination was vaginal delivery in 80.4%., The most prevalent indication for induction-conduction was postterm pregnancy in 33.3%, the results according to the Bishop index were between 8 or greater than 8 in 62.7% and the maternal complication that occurred was postpartum hemorrhage in 20.6% and a compromise of fetal well-being was evidenced in 25.5%. Proposal: Train on the proper use of the induction and conduction application in term pregnant women in order to avoid complications during labor.
