Valores personales e interpersonales en adolescentes de 13 a 16 años y en profesores de Educación General Básica y Bachillerato. Estudio realizado en el Centro Educativo Alberto Einstein de la ciudad de Quito, Provincia de Pichincha, en el año lectivo 2014-2015


Abstract:

This investigation has as its main objective the analysis of the personal, interpersonal and overarching values of teenage individuals between the ages of 13 to 16 as well as their teachers, of the elementary through high school levels in schools in Ecuador. The comparative analysis and interpretation of the results obtained of the predominant values among teachers and students was carried out by using a scale of pre-established values; the research was carried at the Albert Einstein School, a private institution located in Quito. The sample selected is of grade ten students and teachers, composed of ten male and ten female teenage students as well as six high school level teachers. To analyse and describe the objective of the investigation the descriptive and the statistical methods were used, a standard questionnaire was used for the collection and analysis of the data. To measure the values of the teachers and students with respect to the analysis and evaluation of results the Schwartz PVQ-RR (portrait Values Questionnaire, 2012) scale was used. The conclusion after analyzing the data was that the overarching value, both for teenage students and teachers was goodwill among themselves and towards others.
