Valores personales e interpersonales en adolescentes de 13 a 16 años y en profesores de Educación General Básica y Bachillerato. Estudio realizado en el Colegio Alejandro Humboldt de la ciudad de Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, provincia de Galápagos, en el año lectivo 2014-2015


Abstract:

The research project “Personal and interpersonal values in adolescents 13 to 16 years old and elementary school and high school teachers,” was conducted at the Alejandro Humboldt High School, located in Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, in the Galapagos province during the 2014-2015 school year. Twenty students between the ages of 13 and 16 years and 6 teachers participated, all of whom are members of the institution whose teaching model is based on a Christian education and ecological conservation. Thanks to the collaboration of the educational community, we were able to identify the predominant values for each of the groups surveyed which were further differentiated by age and gender group. In order to perform this research, we applied various methods including descriptive, analytic, synthetic, and statistical methods. The techniques used were literature review (reading, organigram, summary or paraphrasing, use of APA norms) and field work (observation and survey). The data collected show the values that directly affect the lives of those surveyed, as well as the importance of them for a harmonious coexistence. As a result, the Magna Charta of Values, with the pre-manifestos of these youths, was drafted thus permitting their yearnings and goals in life to be known.
