Valores y estilo de vida de los niños y niñas de 9 a 11 años de edad. Estudiantes de 5to. a 7mo. de Básica del Centro Educativo “Amor y Esperanza”, de la ciudad de Quito, en el año lectivo 2013 – 2014.


Abstract:

Seeing the loss of values in today´s society, we decided to create this work, which seeks to find the values most relevant to Ecuadorian children in relation to the principal personal values and values of society. This relates to the lifestyle of the children and the circumstances that surround them. The research group used for this thesis were the students of the Love and Hope School. This institution fulfilled the requirements in order to obtain the necessary information. The studied population were students ranging from 9 to 11 years old. The said investigation demonstrated which values have been introduced in the students, and which ones need to be recovered. The methods used were the following: descriptive, analytic and synthetic. The results when compared with the literature review allowed for the conclusion that family plays a crucial role in the formation of values in a child. Based on these findings the writer created a plan for intervention based in moral values, ethics, spirituality, social and cultural values. This plan creates involvement for students, their parents, the institution and the educational community.
