Variational formulation and analysis of a linearized 2-D model with no axial symmetry for a two-phase water-petroleum flow.
Abstract:
Maury et al. formulated in [6] a 2-D axisymmetric problem for the numerical simulation of a one-time step of a two-phase water-petroleum flow in horizontal pipes. In this article, we address this linear problem, but with no axial symmetry: we present a variational formulation and show that it is well-posed, for future numerical simulations using conforming and non-conforming finite elements.
