Virtual Laboratory for Induction Motor Simulation
Abstract:
This document presents the design of a simulation module that serves as a complement to the teaching of the practices of the physical laboratory of Electrical Machines of the Escuela Politécnica Nacional, since it allows to simulate the real behavior of polyphase induction motors at the time of their startup, as well as allows obtaining the necessary data for the calculations of its parameters, all this complying with the standards established by the IEEE. The tests established in the simulation module have been taken from the guide sheets currently used in the physical laboratory of Electrical Machines, so the module intends for the user to simulate the interaction with real machines at any time that they need it. A brief analysis of the system of equations as a function of the state variables of the three-phase and single-phase motor is presented, as well as a summary of the data collection and methodology used for the development of the simulation module with a brief explanation of the different screens it has. Finally, the results obtained both in the physical laboratory practice and in the module are presented.
