Web accessibility analysis with semantich approach of the academic services web portal to university level
Abstract:
In order to enhance access to the web, Universidad Técnica Particular de Loja (UTPL), as a pioneer in distance learning in Ecuador and Latin America, and it committed with an inclusive quality education, it must ensure compliance with web accessibility standards on its institutional web portal. This work aims at evaluating UTPL's academic services web portal by checking compliance with web accessibility guidelines set by the content Word Wide Web Consortium at the recommendation WCAG 2.0. As a contribution to improving the conditions and quality of life, based on the analysis of accessibility, the improvement opportunities will be presented to provide an accessible web portal for all users and machines using semantic technologies.
