Wereables devices and their contribution to the monitoring of industrial systems


Abstract:

This paper presents the study, design, development and implementation of a system of real-time communication that allows monitoring the critical variables of an industrial process in order to determine the incidence of this system in reducing downtime caused by management not timely alarm, as well as offering an easy alternative for applications that can be carried out large-scale industrial level, communication via an Ethernet network and a wearable device. The main objective is process monitoring, verifying optimization downtime as a test system functionality. Has developed the index HTML for access to PLC data and is configured Java code to access the web consultation with Android Studio, realtime connection with the PLC and Wereable device, smartwatch, is established. The core of the system depends on the introduction of the control logic directly in the automation system through the wearable device APK.
