Wilson's disease in children: Description of a patient treated with oral zinc sulfate


Abstract:

A 13-year-old asymptomatic male with persistently high transaminase levels was diagnosed as hepatic Wilson's disease. He was treated with oral zinc sulfate (150 mg/day). After 6 months his liver function was normal and there were no side effects.
