Yield components and chemical composition of Megathyrsus maximus in association with leguminous

Abstract:

The forage studied species, is of vital importance for the animal production, for its high volumes of biomass in only and association. The objective was to evaluate the yield components, as well as chemical composition of the Megathyrsus maximus in association with leguminous to different regrowth age. The investigation was development in the Manabí province, Ecuador. The experiment lasted 90 days, to the beginning of the evaluation; was carried out a harvesting of uniformity to 10 cm of the soil. Eight grasslands of 12 × 4 m was distributed, divided in 3 subgrasslands with an area of 4 × 4 m (16 m2). It was evaluated long, wide and weight of the leaf, of the root of the fabaceae, total of the poaceae and the leguminous, and the yields of dry matter of the saboya grass, Fabaceae and total. The chemical indicators were dry matter, protein, gross fiber, and F.E.N. While within the economic were the net benefits and the relation NB/TC. A design of parcels was used divided with factorial arrangement of 2×3. ANOVA of double classification was applied with Statistics 8,1. The interaction between the associations and the age was significant for (P <0,001), for all the studied variables. The biggest values in the indicative economics, morphological, of the yield and the quality were shown when using Pueraria. It concluded that in Amazonia Ecuadorian conditions, the inclusion of mixes of these leguminous improve the nutrients and the behavior of the yields components of grass. Although, the age affected the chemical composition with the decrease of protein and the increase of the fiber.
