Abstract:

The teacher is conceived as a fundamental actor of the educational process, on whom it rests the transmission and rebuilding of the knowledge, that allows the individual who is formed to relate to the legacy of the humanity and to develop the comprehensions that the Transformation of demand societies. This means exercising a leading role in the formation of humanity. The professionalization of the teacher allows to understand and assume the office of teacher as a committed activity, from a social and ethical point of view, with the social function that education and school have. The teacher's continuing training (or training) should be understood as a process of updating that enables him to carry out his pedagogical and professional practice in a meaningful, pertinent and appropriate way to the social contexts in which he enrolls and to the Populations it serves. A research teacher is the guarantee of an education that contributes to the development of the country. Bibliographic sources will be reviewed to establish which incentives allow a positive stimulus to the research that teachers practice in their updating process.
