¿El Derecho del Sufragio debe de ser una obligación?
Abstract:
Based on the fact that voting is a right that emanates from the same condition of citizenship and minors under 18 years of age and foreigners also have this right) and that, consequently, it must be universally recognized, without considerations of social or economic limitations for no individual (Gálvez, 2014). This investigative work exposes at a global, continental, Latin American and Ecuadorian level, the different presentations by experts on the Right to Suffrage, whether or not it should be mandatory. At the same time, a consensus is made at the University level, with the Law students (116 surveys) of which the different points of view are exposed, through the survey it was determined that the youths (16 to 18 years old) are becoming aware and being an increasingly participant in the right that the state has granted them, which is the right to vote optional without fine, but that at a general level the right to vote optional could be achieved as long as those who still must be obliged to vote raise awareness of civility and patriotism for the good of Ecuador and its future generations.
