¿Qué m!3%#@ es género?: Experiencias de aprendizaje en línea de activistas digitales para mejorar las representaciones de mujeres y población LGBTQI+

Abstract:

Having adequate representations of women and the LGBTIQ + population in the ecuadorian media has been conceived as an important way to fight against symbolic violence towards these vulnerable groups. To achieve this, promoting education on gender issues among content generators is necessary, so the objective of this research was to know the effectiveness of an online course that is expected to help digital activists to develop skills that improve the quality of their representations of women and LGBTIQ+. The study was non-experimental, and it used a qualitative approach. It analyzed if the trainees were able to acquire knowledge on the topic, through a summative evaluation system and self-perception of learning questionnaire. The results showed that, in the majority of participants, the learning experience was satisfactory, however, future studies suggest exploring in depth the various learning profiles to improve the course.
