“El Populismo en perspectiva transnacional. Análisis histórico del discurso de la oferta política en Bolivia, Ecuador Y Venezuela”
Abstract:
Studies on populism have gained importance once again in the world, mainly in Latin America where two decades ago the Socialism of the 21st Century was inaugurated as the new populist current by the hand of Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, followed by Evo Morales in Colombia and Rafael Correa in Ecuador. This research aims to analyze transnational populism through the construction of populist discourse as Laclau conceives it. This research explores the discourses, strategies and preferences of key actors from Bolivia, Venezuela and Ecuador, particularly in reference to the concept of transnational populism, both in the transnational arena and in the national territory, from the political offer. Through this study with a qualitative approach, an analysis of 20 years of political discourses is carried out, comparing similarities and differences on the construction of the identity of the people and the national and transnational elite.
