“Lo personal siempre será político: revisión histórica de la participación política de las mujeres en América Latina desde 1900 hasta el 2021”

Abstract:

This study explores the history of the political participation of women in Latin America during the most important historical moments between 1929 until 2015. In this study the methodology used was qualitative, the sample was conformed by six analysis units which were chosen according to the operationalization of the concept historical moments. The results allowed the researcher to elaborate a historical line to comprehend the characteristics of women’s political participation; the challenges that the feminist movements and women movements faced; and the challenges that women face in order to become political leaders.
