Integration of Industrial Ethernet-Based TCP Protocols Monitored from the Ubidots Cloud
Abstract:
This study aims to carry out an analysis of the versatility in the integration of industrial communications protocols, based on TCP/IP - EI, coming from the simulation of three virtual industrial processes, the information is managed from a PLC S7-1500 which performs the server function, and three S7-1500 PLCs that act as Clients, controlling and monitoring processes such as Client_1 with Modbus TCP protocol, for PID control of a LEVEL process, Client_2 with Profinet protocol, for filling control and emptying of tanks and Client 3 with S7 Communication protocol, for the pneumatic assembly of configurable numbers of bottle boxes, was also carried out using a PC System, the HMI design of each of the industrial processes, as well as the generation of historical data. Production and generation of files; Node Red programming and configuration of each of the Ubidots IoT Cloud nodes. It was possible to validate that the information from each of the processes flows in Real Time, without generating latency, considering that the performance of the PC must have good characteristics, especially the graphics card, since the processing of information in simulation depends a lot. of these devices. In addition, it was possible to validate that there were no problems with up to 5 mobile devices redundantly connected to the cloud.
