Creative processes for learning Design: referent analysis and geometrization in design software


Abstract:

This study establishes a method for the assimilation of form through a practical methodological strategy for learning specialized design software. The methodology combines different didactic techniques with a high visual impact and technological resources based on new pedagogical models for the classroom. The moments of the process with a high degree of student participation are: 1) Replication. Repetition practice in class through the use of tools for the creation of shapes, based on interactions of operations between elements, allowing the development of mental perception of the shape and spatial thinking of the object (basic combinations). 2) Appropriation: assimilation of forms and understanding of the context of their use, application of all the possibilities that drawing and vectorial creation tools allow for the construction of complex forms (advanced construction), and 3) Decontextualization: focuses on proposals based on project processes where creativity is the axis; geometrization and abstraction are requirements for the student to work with precise and optimized forms (deconstruction of own ideas). In the present study the students have reached a simplified process of form construction due to the stimulation of thought to improve the perception of basic elements in the generation of new formal ideas through the appropriate use of vector software.
