3D modeling of the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium using hypermedia design methodology


Abstract:

New information and communication technologies have a variety of applications in different fields. Thus, nowadays, software tools have been optimized for the virtualization of objects and, in general, scenarios of interest. This paper presents the results obtained from the virtualization process of the Atahualpa Olympic Stadium, Ecuador. Thus, after applying a set of 3D modeling techniques and animation tools, users are offered the possibility to know in detail the different structures, locations and areas that make up this scenario. This work can be useful in the modeling of any other scenario for advertising purposes and access to this information remotely through the use of virtual reality or augmented reality. The results obtained show that the 3D modeling tools and techniques selected were adequate for obtaining a realistic model of the scenario proposed in this work.
