Aplicación de ICA´S para valorar la calidad de las aguas de consumo del ganado aviar en la granja Zambrano, Chone, Manabí

Abstract:

This research was carried out with the aim of evaluating the validity of the water quality estimation for the consumption of avian cattle through quality indexes, “Granja Zambrano Ponce” was chosen to do this study, the before mentioned place is located in the city of Chone, it was developed with two factors: to determine the ICA-NSF, ICA-SALVADOR and ICA TORRES and to identify the presence of diseases in the avian cattle that are related to the quality of the water. When determining the ICA-NSF, it reflected an average quality for groundwater with a value of 50.6%, as well as an average quality for drinking water with a value of 61.19% and a poor quality for river water with a value of 47.56%. When determining the ICA-SALVADOR yielded a poor quality for groundwater and river with value of 49.71% and 39.44% respectively and regular quality for drinking water valued at 59.46%. When determining ICA-TORRES presented poor quality for groundwater with a value of 13.88% and quality alert for drinking water and river with a value of 19.59% and 21.48% respectively. Common diseases due to poor water consumption are parasitic 42%, respiratory 24%, ascites 16%, laryngotracheitis 5%, gumboro 5%, new castle 4%, and encephalomyelitis 4%. With the results obtained it can be emphasized that the three indices of water quality studied have validity at the moment of determining the aptitude of this resource to be consumed by the avian cattle.
