JV1.0 Assistive Module for Measuring Body Temperature and Blood Oxygen with the Internet of Things
Abstract:
This work presents the design and implementation of a module called JV1.0 to measure a patient’s body temperature and blood oxygen concentration, transmitting the data in real-time via the Internet of Things (IoT) to a dashboard. The Arduino Nano33 IoT microcontroller remotely transmits a person’s vital signs via Wi-Fi. Data such as body temperature and blood oxygenation level are obtained by the AMG8833 and MAX30102 sensors installed in the module. A doctor can visualize this data to help diagnose possible patient health complications early. During the tests performed, the JV1.0 assistance module obtained a minimum error of 1.33% concerning the certified MP-Promedical mercury thermometer, and in the tests performed for the percentage of oxygen in the blood, an error of 0% was obtained for the K&I measurements.
