Use of Information and Communication Technologies in university education from neuroscience

Abstract:

In the context of the digital revolution of the 21st century, Information and Communication Technologies are the most common way to develop intersubjective communication processes for various purposes, including the construction of meaningful learning in university education. For these reasons, the present research was proposed to discuss the strategic use of these technologies in university education from a pseudoscientific perspective, as a condition to identify the challenges and learning opportunities that arise from the combination of the pseudoscientific view, as a novel field of knowledge in digital learning contexts. Methodologically, documentary research was used from sources of proven academic value on the subject, collected in high-impact scientific journals. The results show the importance of integrating technologies into educational practice to optimize the learning process with meaning and significance. In this purpose, neuroscience provides valuable information on how the brain processes information that can be used to develop more effective educational tools. It is concluded that the strategic use of communication technologies in university education has the potential to transform learning and teaching, therefore, educational institutions must adopt a proactive and adaptive approach.
