Work Stress in Teleworking of University Teachers

Abstract:

The objective of this research is to develop a literature review of the theories regarding work stress in teleworking of university teachers. For this purpose, a review of scientific articles was carried out, their theoretical framework and reference framework were evaluated. It was identified that after starting to work from home, it is vital to achieve an appropriate balance between work responsibilities and home obligations. ‘Striking a balance between work and family’, especially for married, working women with young children, is another important factor, which can benefit teleworkers. Several results have reported less work-related stress as one of the advantages of teleworking, that is, workers who used to work from home four or five days a week reported lower levels of stress in this group than those who used to go to work the office every day.
