02-022-Asset management in hospital buildings with the BIMdigital twin. Casestudy: University Hospital of Jaén

Abstract:

The management and maintenance of Hospital buildings requires a large amount of information on infrastructure and services, which must be correctly structured in order to adequately support all of the Care Services provided in these Health Centers. For this reason, the methodology (Building Information Modeling) is a work methodology that allows the digital twin of the building to be available, offering many possibilities to help in the management of these buildings, having among its main advantages the possibility of working in collaborative mode. This work shows the experience of implementing the BIM work environment for asset management of an existing Hospital that is more than 60 years old, such as the Jaén University Hospital.
