Abstract:

Successful policies improve the use of resources for research and safeguard scientific capital. The RSDC contribute by making research results visible. It was sought to establish whether the policies of the Government of Ecuador embodied in the LOES and the research evaluation criteria of the CACES promote the development of the research culture in Communication Careers teachers and measure the use of RSDC for scientific dissemination. With content analysis and in-depth interviews, the results show that the Movement of Córdoba-1918 promotes the creation of the LOES-1925, a law that today reflects 15 articles of investigative impulse. Universities have at least two documents referring to research to promote it. The presence of teachers in RSDC is growing, making visible and improving academic prestige.
