Application of genetic algorithms for the synthesis of linear antenna arrays
Abstract:
The synthesis of the radiation pattern for linear antenna arrays with many constraints is a non-linear optimization problem which is very difficult to solve using methods based on deterministic rules because they are vulnerable to local minima problems. One possible solution is to use Genetic Algorithms. In this article two methods for the synthesis of the complex radiation pattern of a linear array antenna based on GAs are discussed.
