Application of mobile window filters to increase the precision in the distance estimation of RSSI Blue-tooth


Abstract:

Due to the complexity involved in the process of estimating RSSI distance, this task requires certain considerations, particularly if consumer devices are used. In general, the quality of the signal is influenced by high noise levels of the signal, the environmental conditions, and the devices themselves. In this research, several experiments were carried out in different conditions involving of this signal noise. So, we tested by applying several filters to reduce, soften and stabilize the signal noise. As consequence we arrived a validation of our data. The results of the experiments showed that the application of filters improves the accuracy of estimating the distance of the RSSI signal.
