Application of the BIM 5D methodology in the "Drinking water treatment plant for the Aurora parish"

Abstract:

This project is based on the planning and progress control of the construction of the civil works of the Water Treatment Plant for The Aurora District, for the development of this, the general information of the project was provided by the Municipal GAD of Daule, once all the information received had been analyzed, the analysis of the unit prices was carried out to obtain the general budget for the work. As part of the methodology, the Gantt chart was made with the MS Project software, which identifies the time it takes to perform each activity with its respective costs and resources, once this is obtained, the valued project schedule. As a final step, we proceed to use the BIM 5D methodology, it begins with the development of the 3D modeling, and then using the Navisworks software we integrate the 3D modeling with the Gantt chart, once these two elements are entered, we have our model as a result 5 D. Finally, we proceed to carry out the simulation of the construction process of the civil works of the project, in which we can see how the activities and costs of the work are developed in the planned times.
