Application of the MQTT Protocol for the Control of a Scorbot Robot by Means of EGG Electroencephalographic Signals


Abstract:

At present, technology is one of the main tools available, its main objective is to contribute to improve the quality of life of people, such as in the medical area. The manipulation of industrial robots through proprietary software promotes the investigation to integrate new communication technologies to the development of a society. This investigation is based on the development of a monitoring system to control the Scorbot Robot based on electroencephalographic (EEG) signals. The EEG signals are monitored to facilitate the operation of the joints by making use of the electrical signals provided by the brain activity of the human being. The Mindwave helmet from the company Neurosky is very useful, as it receives energy impulses, converted into signals that are subsequently processed by the mathematical software Matlab.
