A look from sustainable tourism to the province of Imbabura-Ecuador

Abstract:

Characteristics of the tourist attractions of the province of Imbabura are analyze, as well as the weaknesses present and the existing potential. Tools such as Chi square tests and multicriteria analysis are used. The results indicate that the tourist zone of Zuleta, is expanding thanks to the landscape, architectural attributes and the cultural heritage. Weaknesses and threats arise from linking sustainable rural tourism as a territorial development strategy.
