Aprendizaje cooperativo y tic y su impacto en la adquisición del idioma inglés
Abstract:
The fundamental objective of this article is to present the impact of a combined strategy of cooperative learning plus information and communication technologies for impro-ving English language learning. Study participants were thirty-two students: sixteen from the intervention group and sixteen from the control group. All were level-three English language learners from the engineering department at Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo (Ecuador). The quasi-experimental analysis of pre-test, post-test, and control groups showed the development of four language skills: listening, reading, speaking, and writing in the two linguistic areas of grammar and vocabulary. The results analyzed by means of a Student's t-test reveal that students improved their learning of the English language.
