Arouse the intrinsic motivation through extrinsic motivation to improve the basic english learning


Abstract:

The institution we chose for the realization of this project was “Victor Emilio Estrada” Public School in Playas in Guayas Province - Ecuador. With this research work: Topic: “Arouse the intrinsic motivation through extrinsic motivation to improve the basic English Learning.” Proposal: “Design of a workbook with visual motivational activities to improve the Basic English Learning”, we will positively change the student's attitude towards learning English, allowing them develop their reasoning capacity and strengthen their effort and interest in favor of a participatory education. The English language in our country has traditionally been based on mechanical processes that have favored memorization rather than the development of thought, as a result of the lack of interest in learning the English language, our project will improve the think of the students give them ability to participate in class with own willpower. The motivation is very important because the student have interest in each English class, the teacher is the guide, the leader, and have to use motivational activities to arose these interest. There are extrinsic and intrinsic motivations, In short, it is advisable for any field is to stimulate growth and interest internally, that is to say stimulate the motivation to do, to make, to experience, regardless of the aim pursued. Extrinsic motivation and intrinsic motivation are very different, our duty is to complement and combine both so that we make and achieve our objectives in the most productive and profitable way possible. We have to look for the form to achieve that the student participate in class and show willpower to learn the second language
