Assessment of project-based learning
Abstract:
An emerging trend in education around the world is to make changes in the approach to the teaching-learning process. The use of active methodologies offers an attractive alternative to traditional education by emphasizing student learning, and this leads to greater student understanding, motivation and participation. Among the most popular models is Project-Based Learning, a highly effective constructivist teaching and learning model that reflects a student-centered environment toward the use of disciplinary concepts, tools, experiences, and technologies to answer questions and solve student problems of the real world. The present investigation was developed at the Uniandes Ecuador and aims to determine the existing relationship between Project-Based Learning and the educational results of students. For this, dimensions are analyzed, namely: motivation, organization and interaction-collaboration to investigate the existing association with the academic performance of the students. The type and design of the study is descriptive, explanatory, qualitative and quantitative. Among the used data collection techniques, there are visual observation, documentary review, interviews and a questionnaire.
