Assistance application of people with cognitive disabilities in tasks for their social inclusion

Abstract:

People with intellectual disabilities receive education in special centers, however, many of these centers do not have the current technological means to strengthen the teaching methodology and support them within the labor field. The present research work has as its proposal the development of a tool for Android smartphones designed to help people with cognitive disabilities in tasks for their social inclusion using Beacon technology to locate the positioning of the user and evaluate its functioning within a center educational. The result of the evaluation was that the application called Tk-Helper managed to reduce the time, errors, help and assistance in the tasks of a certain activity that each user performed.
