Attitudes before the menopause: A factorial study

Abstract:

Attitudes are linked to menopause by means of its symptomatology. The real process still remains unknown. The present study aims to get brightness about this issue. In this sense, Papini, Intrieri and Goodwin (2002) tried to show us new directions, 283 galician women were interviewed by self-report scale from Bowles (1986). In order to know the nature of attitudes during menopause a factor analysis was carried out. Results point at two factors, a main one is called "self-valuation" and a second one is known as "lively". The first factor explains the 47.7% of variance. Implications for future research are discussed.
