Audio games, a new tool for journalism and digital media.
Abstract:
The research shows the production of journalistic audio games, within the framework of a study on gamification, new narratives, journalism and sound. Its objective was to analyze the relevance of audio games as a new journalistic element and for the construction of communication processes in Ecuador. In the methodological process, a protocol for the construction of audio games was developed, which allowed four prototype, historical and journalistic audiogames to be raised, which were validated by experts from Latin America. Subsequently, the survey collected the experience and perspective of a non-probabilistic sample of journalists, referring to audio games as an alternative for attracting audiences and economic sustainability for the media. Concluding that, from the new narratives in journalism, a series of elements are broken down that suggest that being able to tell a story is important, since the audience learns more effectively when this process is accompanied by playful elements, such as play.
