Audiovisual media competences and digital environments in adolescents. Case study of secondary education institutions in Loja and Zamora, Ecuador
Abstract:
Media education is part of the adolescents' education; which must educate with media, in media and in front of the media; this requires teachers' training, to provide a good level of media competition. This research reflects on the situation of students and teachers' permanent training; as guides for students, regarding to media education and the use of TICs that today we have. The obtained results mostly reflect a reality of classrooms (teachers), in students and their homes; revealing "high level" in the Technology dimension. Differing from Reception and interaction dimension, where students have "low level" and teachers "midlevel", determining that it is due to the lack of a complete knowledge transmission to students in both parts creating some gaps.
